Sanasto: Peak Epoc

EPOC (Excess post-exercise oxygen consumption) kuvaa suorituksen jälkeistä lepotason ylittävää hapenkulutusta (voidaan kutsua myös termillä "after-burn effect"). EPOC:n taso riippuu etupäässä suorituksen intensiteetistä ja kestosta.

EPOC can be measured directly by spiroergometry or estimated indirectly by heart rate. This calculation is possible at any time during an activity. The maximum value during the activity, i.e. the peak EPOC, can be considered as a measure of exercise intensity.
